About Sports & Mimosas
Sports are better when everyone has a seat at the table.
Sports & Mimosas is a sports media and community platform created for women who love sports, want to learn more about sports, or simply want a welcoming place to join the conversation.
We believe you shouldn't have to know every stat, understand every rule, or prove how long you've been a fan to belong in sports. Whether you've been watching your favorite team your entire life or you're still trying to figure out what everyone means when they say “cover two,” there's a place for you here.
At Sports & Mimosas, we make sports approachable, interesting, social, and fun—without watering down the game.
What We Do
Everything we do centers around four things:
-
Understand the game.
We break down sports, rules, strategy, terminology, business, and culture in ways that make the game easier to understand. No gatekeeping. No assuming you already know. Just smart, accessible sports education that helps you become a more confident fan.
-
Our take on the game.
This is where we talk sports the way we actually experience them. From athletes and teams to big moments, personalities, the business of sports, and the culture surrounding the game, we share our thoughts, reactions, and experiences while using credible sources to bring context to the conversation. Think of it as part sports blog, part commentary, and part conversation among friends—keeping you informed about what's happening while giving you our perspective along the way.
-
Experience the game with us.
Through the Sports & Mimosas podcast, video, interviews, game conversations, and other digital content, we create another place for women to hear different perspectives, ask questions, and talk about what's happening across the sports world.
-
Because sports are meant to be experienced together.
Sports & Mimosas brings the community offline through watch parties, meetups, brunches, sports outings, educational experiences, and other gatherings.
Come knowing every player on the roster.
Come knowing absolutely nothing.
Just come ready to have a good time.
Why Sports & Mimosas?
Because too many women have experienced some version of this:
You say you like a team, and someone immediately asks you to name five players.
You ask a question during a game, and someone makes you feel like you should already know the answer.
Or maybe you didn't grow up watching sports at all—and now you'd like to learn but don't know where to start.
We created Sports & Mimosas for that.
But we also created it for the woman who does know the roster, understands the strategy, has strong opinions about the front office, and wants more women to talk sports with.
This isn't about teaching women how to become “real” sports fans.
You already belong here.
We're simply creating another place to enjoy the game.
Pull Up a Seat
Read an article. Listen to the podcast. Come to a watch party. Ask the sports question you've always wanted to ask. Bring a friend who knows nothing about the game—or the one who knows more than everyone else in the room.
Learn the game. Talk the game. Watch the game. Gather around the game.
Welcome to Sports & Mimosas.
